The Widhya Asih's staffs participated in REACT’s third annual Caring for the Caregivers Conference on November 24-26 in Dhyana Pura Beach Resort Seminyak which purposed to develop and provide support to the caregivers. Randolph Oudemands, the President and Founder of REACT, believes that the main factor determines the success of a child is whole responsibility of the parenting as well as day-to-day care management. He added, research has proved that the many staffs do not receive adequate training which then limits their effectiveness and quality of care they provides. He believed that successful, well-run orphanages are extremely complex and very challenging to administer.
Differ from the training hold in 2009; it had been expanded to include more speakers, both from childcare institutions and other relevant fields, as well as more topics, touching on a broad range of issues. The material provided relevant in a stimulating environment in an effort to promote excellence in care and general practices such as Role of the Child Care, Standard of Care, Leadership, Project Management, Needs of the Children, Building Confidence Relationship between Children and Staff, Strategic Planning and many more.
Moreover, a diverse and driven group of individuals brought together in this conference so that all the participants could share a common goal of improving the quality of care given to children in childcare institutions as well as best practices. Shortly, by participating in this conference, we were provided with new insights into delicate and very important matter from Standards of Care to Group Activities.
